What is required for the remittance to be credited to the beneficiary's account on the same business day?

The following requirements must be met:

  • Recipient’s name, CPF, personal bank account and branch numbers provided on the money transfer request must match the recipient’s account record at Banco do Brasil S.A.;
  • Recipient’s records must be up-to-date at Banco do Brasil S.A.;
  • Recipient must have provided Banco do Brasil S.A. authorization for the automatic settlement of money transfers received from abroad. Ask your recipient to verify with his/her respective Banco do Brasil S.A. Branch Officer if the authorization is in place and has not expired;
  • Transfer purpose must be specified correctly on the money transfer request, in line with recipient’s account information at Banco do Brasil S.A.. i.e.: Resident Support or Availability Abroad;
  • The recipient in Brazil must have a CPF that is valid and in good standing;
  • Money transfer request must be submitted by 8:00 p.m. ET.

*National Holidays in Brazil and in the US may impact the date on which funds are credited to the recipient’s account at Banco do Brasil S.A..
Note: Some International Money Transfers of up to R$9,999.99 can be released/settled by the recipient through Banco do Brasil S.A. Online or Mobile Banking. The recipient may contact his/her account manager at Banco do Brasil S.A. for guidance on how to release/settle money transfer requests via their Banco do Brasil S.A. Online or Mobile Banking access.
