The exchange rate applied to your remittance request will be the exchange rate in effect and informed at the time you submit your remittance request. Your remittance request will only be processed once you have approved the transaction (via WhatsApp or Telegram).
Remittance requests submitted until 2pm ET will receive the message to approve the transaction (via WhatsApp or Telegram) on the same day.
Remittance requests submitted after 2pm ET will receive the message to approve the transaction (via WhatsApp or Telegram) on the next business day.
If your remittance request cannot be processed, either due to lack of funds or incorrect information, or if it is not approved (via WhatsApp or Telegram) on the same business day, the exchange rate applied to your request will be the exchange rate in effect on the day and time of resolution of the matter.
* Weekend or Holidays (USA):
The exchange rate applied to your remittance request during this period (Weekends or Holidays – USA) will be the exchange rate in effect and informed at the time you submit your remittance request, if you approve the remittance request (via WhatsApp or Telegram) on the next business day by 11:59 pm ET.
The exchange rate during this period is only valid for transactions approved (via WhatsApp or Telegram) on the following business day by 11:59pm ET. If your remittance request is not approved by 11:59pm on the following business day, it will be canceled and a new request will need to be submitted.
Transfer requests submitted during this period (Weekends or Holidays – USA) will only receive the WhatsApp or Telegram message requesting transaction approval on the next business day.
If your remittance request cannot be processed, either due to lack of funds or incorrect information, the exchange rate applied to your request will be the exchange rate in effect on the day and time of resolution of the matter.
Transfer Limits
Minimum Amount $15; Maximum equivalent to R$9.999,99; Monthly Maximum Amount:$50,000.
Transaction Request Approval or Cancel
Approval: You must have a WhatsApp or Telegram account linked to the cell phone number registered in your BB Americas Bank account to approve the transaction. If not, the remittance request will be canceled.
Cancellation: If you wish to cancel your remittance request after you approved it, you must send a WhatsApp or Telegram message with the word “cancel” to the same chat where the transaction was approved. This message must be sent within 30 minutes of approval. After that time, the remittance request will be processed and it can no longer be canceled or returned.
Other Details
This transaction is governed by the Foreign Remittance Services Agreement by and between you and BB Americas Bank.
Transfers must be made from a BB Americas Bank Consumer Checking Account or Money Market Account* to a Banco do Brasil S.A. Consumer Account.
*Money Market account: By Regulation this account is limited to 6 transactions per statement cycle. If you exceed the transaction limitations, your account will be charged a fee of $15.00 per excessive debit transaction. If you continue to exceed transaction limitations more than three (3) times within a 12 month rolling period will be notified by the Bank and the account will be closed or converted to a Checking Account. Your account may no longer earn interest.
A valid CPF is required for the beneficiary in Brazil. In the event that you provide an incorrect beneficiary account number or beneficiary institution identifier, the transfer amount may be lost. Availability of funds may be delayed or services may be unavailable based on certain transaction characteristics, including amount sent, destination country, currency availability, regulatory issues, identification requirements, bank / agent location hours, differences in time zones, or selection of options affected by a delay. Additional restrictions may apply.
BB Americas Bank does not charge a processing fee to send your money to BB S.A. in Brazil. In addition to transfer fees and other fees set forth above, BB Americas Bank (or its affiliates) may receive additional compensation when you exchange U.S. dollars into a different currency. The beneficiary may receive less than the original amount sent due to fees charged by the Beneficiary’s bank and foreign taxes.

Six transfers and/or withdrawals limitation - Regulation D (REG D)
Regulation D limits certain types of transfers, point of sale transactions and checks to a maximum combined total of six (6) per month. Any additional transaction made after that will incur a $20.00 excessive activity fee. If you continue to exceed these limits, the bank will notify you and your account will be closed or converted into a regular checking account.

BB Americas Bank does not charge a processing fee to send your money to BB S.A. in Brazil.
Money is received by BB S.A. in as little as 24 hours.
*For automatic crediting of remittances from a BB Americas Bank account to a beneficiary's Banco do Brasil S.A. account in as little as 24 hours, the following requirements must be met:
- Beneficiary´s account record with Banco do Brasil S.A. must be up-to-date;
- Beneficiary must have provided Banco do Brasil S.A. authorization for the automatic settlement of remittances received from abroad. Ask your beneficiary to verify with his/her respective Banco do Brasil S.A. Branch Officer if the authorization is in place and has not expired;
- Remittance request must be submitted and approved via WhatsApp or Telegram until 2 pm ET on the same business day;
- A valid CPF is required for the beneficiary in Brazil.
