What are the possible causes of your remittance not being credited automatically on the same business day?

Possible causes:

  • The information regarding recipient’s name, CPF, personal bank account and branch numbers provided on the money transfer request do not match the recipient’s account record at Banco do Brasil S.A.;
  • Recipient’s records is not up to date at Banco do Brasil S.A.;
  • Money transfer request was submitted after 8:00 p.m. ET.
  • Transfer purpose is not specified correctly on the money transfer request, in line with recipient’s account information at Banco do Brasil S.A.
  • The recipient in Brazil doesn’t have a CPF that is valid and in good standing;
  • Recipient has not provided Banco do Brasil S.A. authorization for the automatic settlement of money transfers received from abroad. Ask your recipient to verify with his/her respective Banco do Brasil S.A. Branch Officer if the authorization is in place and has not expired;

National Holidays in Brazil and in the US may impact the date on which funds are credited to the recipient’s account at Banco do Brasil S.A..
