Branches | Afterschool Financial Literacy

Published in 04/09/2026

Branches’ The Grow Program helps elementary school students develop a love for learning through after-school academic and enrichment activities, ultimately preparing them for lifelong success. As part of this program, financial literacy classes provide students with foundational money management skills. Each month, BB Americas Bank volunteers visit the Branches North Miami location to collaborate with teachers on the financial literacy lesson of the day. Topics include needs versus wants, understanding credit, saving, and earning money, which volunteers help teach through interactive games, videos, and art activities. In addition to making the lessons engaging and memorable, BBA volunteers help create a fun and supportive after-school environment for the children. Financial literacy plays an essential role in guiding children’s futures, and access to quality after-school care makes a meaningful difference for working families who might not otherwise be able to afford it. BB Americas Bank is proud to partner with Branches to empower families through financial literacy.
