After school financial literacy
Branches’ The Grow Program helps elementary students develop a love for learning through after-school academic and enrichment activities, ultimately preparing them for lifetime success. This after-school academic program includes Financial Literacy classes. Our BB Americas volunteers go every month to the Branches North Miami location to collaborate with teachers on the financial literacy lesson of the day. Financial literacy lessons include needs versus wants, understanding credit, saving, and making money, which BBA volunteers help teach through interactive games, videos, and art activities. Furthermore, BBA volunteers have fun with the children while helping make after-school classes enjoyable and memorable. The foundational concept of financial literacy is very important in guiding children’s futures, and access underserved after-school care makes a world of difference for working families that would not be able to afford it normally. BB Americas is proud to collaborate with Branches to empower families with financial literacy.
