BB Americas offers clients without a SSN or credit history a Secured Credit Card. To obtain this card the client will need to open a Certificate of Deposit (CD) account with a fixed interest rate. The credit card will be linked to the CD account and the credit limit will correspond to the investment amount.

International clients, who open a Secured Credit Card without a Social Security Number, will not have their credit card activity reported.

This relates to clients applying for an unsecured credit card. The Bank will used your creditworthiness (Credit Score History) to determine which type of credit card you qualify for: Platinum Plus, Platinum or Classic. For example, if you apply for a Platinum Plus card and your creditworthiness does not meet the requirements set by the Bank, we will proceed to consider your application for a Platinum card, instead.

An authorized user is someone who is given a card in his/her name and is allowed to make purchase with the credit card as if it were their own, but is not the primary cardholder of the credit card account.
Authorized users can make purchases by using the credit card issued on their names. The total credit line limit of the credit card account is shared between all users listed on the card account (Primary cardholder, co-applicant and authorized users).
Authorized users are not held responsible for making payment towards the credit card’s monthly balance or to pay for any debts that may build up. The monthly balance statement is the primary cardholder sole responsibility.
No, they cannot. Maintenance activities, such as requesting a credit card limit increase, adding another authorized user, changing the address/contact information listed on the card account, or trying to negotiate a lower interest rate is only allowed to be made by the primary cardholder listed on the account.
